ABRYSVO is a vaccine that can help prevent disease of the lower respiratory tract (lungs) caused by RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). It is given to pregnant individuals during the third trimester (from 32 through 36 weeks’ gestation) to help protect their babies from birth through 6 months of age.

As with any vaccine, ABRYSVO will not protect 100% of those who receive it. ABRYSVO is not a treatment for RSV infection or its complications.

Where ABRYSVO fits in your pregnancy

You will have many important appointments during your pregnancy, including an ultrasound when you are 18–22 weeks pregnant and a gestational diabetes screening when you are 24–28 weeks pregnant.

ABRYSVO is given when you are 32 through 36 weeks pregnant.

When your pregnancy care provider schedules your screening appointments, ask about scheduling your ABRYSVO vaccine as well.

Among the pregnant participants, the most common side effects were pain where the injection was given, headache, and muscle pain.

No side effects were reported in babies born to vaccinated mothers.

Like all vaccines, ABRYSVO can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.

Be sure to tell your healthcare professional if you have known allergies to any of the following substances: mannitol, polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, sucrose, tromethamine, trometamol hydrochloride.

As with any vaccine, ABRYSVO will not protect 100% of those who receive it. ABRYSVO is not a treatment for RSV infection or its complications. Like all vaccines, ABRYSVO can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
